The history of welding :

The history of welding goes back to the Egyptians, who used an oxy-fuel welding technique to join metals. But according to a recent discovery, a tool found in central Finland is evidence of a new type of welding that dated back to the Bronze Age. This ancient welding tool is a copper tanged awl, a metal tool with a hollow center, that was discovered in an archeological dig in Haltia, Finland.

The cylindrical awl is about 5.5 inches long, with two holes drilled on either side of the main shaft. The holes were likely used to set up a stick made of birch bark soaked in resin, which was then lit from the end.

It’s hard to say which metal the tool welding machine- The Lincoln Electric Company was founded in 1895 by C.L. and Frank Lincoln, two brothers who built the first arc welding machine and sold it for $500.

Their company went on to become one of the most respected manufacturers of welding products in the world and is still going strong today. For more than a century, Lincoln has been helping welders all over the world get the job done faster, easier, and better with a wide range of high-quality products.
