1. Magnetic Particle Inspection Tool/Magnetic flux leakage detectors:
a handheld device that can be used to detect cracks and other defects in metal. It measure’s magnetic fields on opposite sides of a pipeline weld, which helps identify incomplete penetration of metal surfaces, lack of fusion between two pieces being joined together, or corrosion inside a pipe’s wall.
2. Ultrasonic Testing Device:
this device sends sound waves through the pipe wall, then measures the time it takes for them to bounce back from different spots on the inside of the pipe. In this way, it detects weld defects by using sound waves to create an image of the welded area.
3. Radiographic Testing Machine (X-Ray):
takes pictures of materials on either side of the weld joint and is able to identify flaws like porosity and lack of penetration.
